Oxygen Solenoid valve

Oxygen Solenoid valve

Oxygen solenoid valve refers to the solenoid valve on the pipeline or oxygen experimental equipment where the medium is oxygen; generally there will be a "no oil" sign on the oxygen valve, which means that it cannot touch oil during use and handling.

Oxygen solenoid valves used in industry are generally made of copper or stainless steel. Oil degreasing is prohibited to prevent rubber aging and static sparks, because oxygen is easy to explode. Because the oil on the oxygen solenoid valve is likely to come into contact with the oil in the gas cylinder, the oil and pure oxygen will explode under high pressure, causing the gas cylinder to explode physically. Oxygen generators and oxygen cylinders are prohibited from oil.

When operating the oxygen solenoid valve, you also need to pay attention to the following:

oil-proof. It is forbidden to wear oil-stained gloves to touch the oxygen cylinder and its ancillary equipment; during transportation, it cannot be put together with flammables and oils.

Oxygen pipelines are under pressure. When you open the valve, the pressure is high and the flow rate is fast. There will be friction with the valve and the instrument, which will generate high heat. If there is oil, one is combustible and the other is combustible and has heat. If it is sealed, it will explode!

Therefore, general industrial oxygen pipelines must be oil-free or degreased.

Oxygen valve degreasing material

Organic solvents: dichloroethane, trichloroethylene, carbon tetrachloride, these are rarely used because they are not friendly enough to the environment and the human body. However, it is still used when washing parts such as valves. Denatured alcohol, for crude skimming only. Bing Chao, etc., because the volatile gas is easy to explode, and it is a controlled chemical raw material, it is only used when choosing to wash parts such as valves.

Water-based degreasing agent: acidic or subtractive water-based degreasing agent is widely used at present, because it is not volatile, waste water is easy to treat, and it is easy to cycle and clean.

Other degreasing agents: steam, only used in places where Jiaqi is easily available. Oil-free quartz sand or steel grit, only used for rust removal and coarse degreasing, and requires compressed air and oil-free

How to degrease the oxygen valve

Wipe and degrease, such as valves and other quarterly parts

Soaking and degreasing, it is not easy to adopt the method of cycle degreasing, or the method of rough degreasing before installation. Circular degreasing, the degreasing effect is the best, and at the same time, it can also complete such as pickling, passivation, etc., combined with organic solvent degreasing agent or water-based degreasing agent for degreasing cleaning, can achieve very good results

Other requirements:If the owner requires the oxygen pipeline to meet the requirements in addition to the oil content, it must also be rust-free, particle-free, dry and not wet (if there is a dew point requirement, it should be dried to the required dew point). If passivation is required, both carbon steel and stainless steel pipes should be passivated.

Oxygen valve degreasing test method

Check with ultraviolet light, there should be no purple-blue fluorescence

Wipe with clean and dry white filter paper, there is no trace of oil stains on the paper (except discoloration caused by gold peroxide oxidation) Blow with oil-free steam, take cold tightening liquid, put a grain of pure camphor, and the camphor keeps rotating

Quantitative analysis of oil content, the oil content per square meter meets the requirements

If there is a dew point requirement, the dew point should be measured with a Whippoint meter
