Application-focused engineering, flexible prototyping, and reliable manufacturing for OEM custom pneumatic cylinder projects.

Many suppliers can produce one custom cylinder. Far fewer can help you turn one approved prototype into a stable, repeatable product that performs reliably in long-term production.
Custom cylinder projects can fail for many reasons: misunderstood requirements, overlooked design risks, unvalidated production processes, inconsistent quality, or unclear responsibility when problems occur.

● Application-focused engineering
● Direct technical communication
● Staged prototype and production validation
● Controlled manufacturing
● Clear responsibility after delivery

Our goal is not simply to manufacture a cylinder, but to help you move from an application challenge to reliable repeat production—with less uncertainty at every stage.

Fescolo helps OEM manufacturers reduce these risks through engineering, validation, controlled production, and clear accountability.

Timelines and conditions may vary for projects involving special materials, custom tooling, new molds, uncommon surface treatments, or extended testing requirements.
Standard cylinders are designed for standard conditions. Your application may not be.
Every custom cylinder project should begin with understanding what the cylinder must actually do—not with selecting the closest product from a catalog.
Before proposing a solution, we review the actual application requirements, including:
● Installation space
● Bore and stroke
● Load and operating pressure
● Speed and operating frequency
● Mounting arrangements
● Port positions and interfaces
● Working environment
● Materials and sealing requirements
● Expected service life
● Special functional requirements
Fescolo’s founder and technical project team have engineering backgrounds. This allows technical questions to be discussed directly, without unnecessary handoffs between multiple commercial and engineering departments.
We can manufacture according to a customer’s confirmed drawing.
When appropriate, we can also participate earlier in the development process and provide constructive recommendations regarding:
● Cylinder structure
● Mounting methods
● Materials and surface treatments
● Installation limitations
● Potential interference
● Manufacturability
● Long-term production stability
We do not begin by asking:
"Which cylinder model do you need?"
We begin by asking:
"What does your application need the cylinder to achieve?"
You receive a solution developed around your equipment and operating conditions—not a standard product that forces you to redesign your machine.
Many avoidable production problems begin before manufacturing starts.
They often begin with incomplete information, overlooked installation details, incorrect assumptions, or requirements that were never fully confirmed.
Before producing a prototype, Fescolo reviews the key technical information and identifies issues that may affect installation, performance, manufacturability, or service life.
For projects with sufficiently complete information, we can normally provide initial engineering feedback within one to two working days.
For suitable projects, a preliminary drawing may also be available within this timeframe.
Our engineering review may include:
● Confirmation of critical dimensions
● Bore, stroke, pressure, and force requirements
● Load and movement analysis
● Mounting and interface review
● Material and seal recommendations
● Environmental considerations
● Manufacturing feasibility
● Identification of missing or conflicting information
● Potential design risks
● Recommended next steps
Fast response does not mean rushed engineering.
It means identifying important questions early—before materials are purchased, components are machined, or design errors become expensive to correct.
For conventional custom cylinder designs, prototype lead times can begin from approximately seven days after drawing approval.
Projects involving special materials, new molds, custom tooling, uncommon coatings, or extended validation will follow a project-specific schedule communicated before the order is confirmed.
You can identify fit, performance, and manufacturing risks earlier—reducing redesign costs and avoiding unnecessary delays later in the project.
A successful prototype demonstrates a design. Consistent volume production demonstrates a manufacturing system.
Producing one successful sample is an important milestone.
But for OEM manufacturers, the greater challenge is ensuring that every cylinder delivered in production has the same dimensions, performance, and reliability as the approved prototype.
Small variations in materials, machining, surface treatment, seals, assembly, inspection, or packaging can affect production consistency.
That is why prototype approval is not the end of Fescolo’s development process.
It is the beginning of production validation.
A lower-risk path from custom design to reliable repeat production

Prototype approval confirms that the proposed design can work.
It does not automatically confirm that the same result can be reproduced consistently under actual volume-production conditions.
For the first production order, Fescolo can take samples from the real production batch for an additional verification before the full order is approved for shipment.
These production samples are made using the intended:
Production materials and components
● Machining processes
● Seals and purchased parts
● Assembly methods
● Inspection and testing standards
● Packaging requirements
Depending on the project, the production samples may be inspected internally against the approved drawing and reference sample, or sent to the customer for additional confirmation.
For larger orders, we recommend completing this verification during pilot production before manufacturing the remaining quantity.
For smaller batches, samples may be selected from the completed order and confirmed before international shipment.
This allows potential differences between the approved prototype and the actual production output to be identified while correction, adjustment, or rework is still practical at the factory.
Because solving a problem before shipment is faster, easier, and less costly than solving it after the products have arrived overseas.
You are not asked to take a large-volume risk based on one successful prototype.
The design is validated first, the production process is validated second, and volume is increased only after both have been confirmed.
Our objective is not simply to produce one good cylinder.
Our objective is to make the thousandth cylinder perform like the first one.
After a design is approved, the confirmed drawings, materials, specifications, and critical quality requirements are transferred into production controls and inspection standards.
Depending on the project, these controls may cover:
● Raw materials
● Purchased components
● Critical machining dimensions
● Surface-treatment specifications
● Seal selection
● Assembly procedures
● Leakage testing
● Movement and functional testing
● Appearance requirements
● Packaging and identification
● Drawing and revision management
Each cylinder is inspected and tested according to the agreed quality plan before shipment.
We apply the same confirmed technical requirements to prototype, pilot production, and repeat orders, while adapting the manufacturing and inspection process to the needs of each production stage.
Our focus is not only on completing today’s order.
It is on maintaining consistency in every future order.
You receive a repeatable production system—not a manually perfected sample that cannot be reproduced consistently in volume.
A custom project should not end when the shipment leaves the factory.
Many successful OEM relationships begin with one drawing, one prototype, or one unresolved application problem.
Within the wider Fokca Automation business, some customer relationships have continued for more than twenty years.
That experience has taught us that long-term cooperation depends on:
● Honest technical communication
● Practical engineering recommendations
● Consistent product quality
● Reliable repeat delivery
● Clear responsibility
● Continuous improvement
As your equipment evolves, Fescolo can continue supporting:
● Design revisions
● New operating conditions
● Alternative materials
● Production scaling
● Product upgrades
● Future project development
We measure success not by one purchase order, but by whether we can continue creating value throughout the lifecycle of your product.
Choosing a supplier also means choosing who will stand behind the product when something goes wrong.
Fescolo custom products are supplied with a warranty of at least 12 months, subject to the mutually confirmed specifications, operating conditions, installation requirements, and agreed commercial terms.
We also provide ongoing technical consultation throughout the product lifecycle.
If a delivered product does not meet the mutually confirmed drawing or technical specifications due to a cause attributable to Fescolo, we will investigate the issue and provide an appropriate corrective action.
Depending on the confirmed cause and contractual terms, this may include:
● Technical correction
● Repair or rework
● Replacement
● Reproduction
● Refund, where appropriate and agreed
We do not believe in avoiding responsibility or leaving customers without support.
We believe problems should be investigated objectively, corrected practically, and used to improve future production.
You have a clearly identified partner responsible for engineering communication, production coordination, and problem resolution—not a supplier who disappears after delivery.
